You often hear is said among Christians that "I need more strength," or "Make me stronger, Lord." Etc. But in reality it has nothing to do with us. Jesus Christ is our Strength and Salvation. Instead of looking toward ourselves and our abilities, we must focus upon Him and His Word. The Promise is, "When you are weak, then I am strong." Just the opposite of most Christian prayers, wouldn't you say? His Strength is made perfect in our weakness...and if that be true then why would we ask to be made stronger? It is never about "self reliance" but our faith is upon Him that has promised. We take His Word and know that He will uphold it. He is our Promise and our Strength. Let's ask ourselves today, upon whom do we rely? Do we trust in the "arm of flesh" or in the "number of Israel" or in "chariots" or do we trust in the Name of the Lord our God! Be blessed.
